FAQs
A few things people tend to wonder—about my work, my background, and how I think about product.
1. What kinds of products do you build?
Most of my work has been in consumer tech: products that sit close to people and aim to make their lives a little easier, more intuitive, or more meaningful. I’ve led several zero-to-one efforts, especially in AI, but I don’t box myself into one category. I’m a curious, systems-minded builder who adapts quickly, cares deeply about details, and thrives in complexity. I try to work on things that matter—and make them work for real people.
2. Where have you worked?
I’ve worked across the spectrum, from early-stage startups to Walmart, where I led two major AI initiatives. One reimagined how millions of people shop. The other helped internal teams (and sellers) scale content creation with generative AI. I’ve also done product consulting, founded a startup, and generally learned a lot by being in the mess.
3. What’s your product philosophy?
People first. Tech second. I believe great product work lives at the intersection of empathy, clarity, and strategy. My job is to bring focus to what matters, help teams ship with purpose, and make sure we’re solving problems worth solving.
4. Do you offer coaching?
I do. Most of the PMs I coach came through word of mouth; former colleagues or people who resonated with how I think. I focus on helping product folks get unstuck, see clearly, and lead more intentionally. If you’re navigating something complex, I’d love to help.
5. What’s your background in AI?
I’ve been working in AI since before everyone started putting it in pitch decks. I’ve led the strategy, roadmap, and rollout of enterprise-scale GenAI tools—working closely with design, engineering, data science, and legal. I’m most interested in how we can use AI to make experiences more human, not less.
6. Are you open to consulting or freelance work?
I’m mostly focused on full-time roles right now, but if you’re working on something meaningful and think I can help, feel free to reach out. I’m always open to interesting conversations.
7. What sets your work apart?
I try to bring clarity to complexity and warmth to strategy. I lead with context, not control. I’ve got experience navigating scale, ambiguity, and all the delightful chaos that comes with building something new. But mostly—I care. About the people, the process, and the product.
8. What’s your background?
Before product, I worked in media. I’ve studied communication (formally) and human behavior (obsessively). I hold a Digital Product Management certificate from UVA Darden, and a B.A. from Central Connecticut State University. I’m still learning every day.
9. How can someone reach you?
You can reach me through the Contact page or connect with me on LinkedIn. I’m usually pretty responsive unless a toddler or tight deadline has other plans for me.
10. Where can I read your writing?
Right here. I write about product leadership, AI, modern work, and the messiness in between. My goal is to think clearly out loud, and hopefully spark something useful for others along the way.
11. What’s life like outside of work?
These days, it’s beautifully full. I’m a (relatively) new dad, so much of my “free time” is spent sleep-deprived and completely in awe. I’m also into real estate, philosophy, design, and whatever rabbit hole my curiosity falls down next. I don’t have strong preferences most of the time—unless you ask me about em dashes. I used them before the bots did, but now my writing looks suspect.
